Step 2: Review Plant Availability and Photos
Reference images help you describe a plant. Current batch information helps you decide what to buy. At this stage, we connect your buying list with the options that can actually be reviewed for the order.

You provide
- Your buying-list line numbers
- The forms and sizes you want to compare
- Any features that would make an option unsuitable
We confirm
- Available options and outstanding stock questions
- Which photos show a batch or an individual plant
- Alternatives requiring your approval
Before the next step
- Photos are matched to the correct list items
- Availability and quantity have been discussed
- No unapproved substitute is included
Separate inspiration from order selection
Website photographs illustrate plant forms and sourcing work; they are not a live stock reservation. When reviewing an inquiry, ask which photographs show the currently proposed plants, which show a representative batch and which are only references. Use the buying-list line number in your reply so a preferred image is attached to the correct variety and size. This is especially useful when several plants have similar names or shapes.
Review the whole batch and the important details
A wide photograph helps show the general presentation and consistency of a group. Closer views can help discuss surface condition, body form, branching or visible roots where applicable. For caudiciform specimens, ask whether the offer is for a size range or for individually selected plants. If a photo leaves an important question unanswered, identify that feature and ask whether a clearer view or measurement can be provided.

Resolve alternatives before approving them
Some requested items may have a different available size, form or quantity. We discuss these differences instead of assuming that a similar-looking plant is an acceptable replacement. Compare any alternative against your intended use, price expectations and packing needs. You may approve it, reduce the quantity, retain the original request for further checking or remove that line. Record the chosen option in the updated list.
Move from a visual preference to a specification
A photo alone does not define a wholesale order. Before proceeding, connect the approved option with its plant name, quantity and measurable size range. Ask how long the availability or offer remains valid and whether stock reservation requires a confirmed order. The next step defines the measurements and presentation in writing, giving the later quotation a clearer basis.
Questions to ask about a selection photo
- What am I seeing?
- Confirm whether it is a reference image, a representative batch or the exact proposed specimen. Keep the image connected to a buying-list item.
- What still needs checking?
- Ask about the visible size range, plant presentation and available quantity. Request a closer view when an important feature is unclear.
- What happens if stock changes?
- Ask about the offer validity and reservation arrangement. Record your approved alternatives, and require confirmation for any change outside that scope.
